Jail a Victim for Child Care
Ulwazi Group conducts its business, amongst others, in areas that are still under developed and poverty stricken. As a responsible corporate citizen,
Ulwazi Group took part in the "Jail a Victim For Child Care" an initiative by Sport Against Crime, whereby a mobile jail was arranged together with SAPS positioned in various
Shopping Centers around Midrand on the 30, April 2010.
Our own Godwell Zhira from Ulwazi Development Project was arrested, charged and jailed for
an hour at Randjiespark Shopping Center for being a "TOO GOOD ENGINEER". Bail was set at the amount of R300.00 and was then released. Proceeds for the event goes to Pretoria Child Wellfare.

Refilwe Orphaned Care
The first initiative was for the Refilwe orphaned care at the Refilwe Township in Nokeng Tsa Taemane Municipality. Refilwe orphaned care was established 3 years ago with the aim of proving the orphaned kids with at least one meal a day. So far, 150 kids are being provided with lunch and parental guidance from the centre. We therefore felt obliged to assist the centre in ensuring that the kids always have something to eat throughout the year. Ulwazi Group donated a gas stove, gas cylinder, food and clothing items to the school for the first time on 29 July 2009 and will be visiting the centre regularly to assist where we can. It was a joyous celebration and we are honoured to have had the chance to make a difference and put a smile on a child's face.
Ulwazi Group will be identifying more projects to embark on in all areas that we operate and will also consider requests from various communities depending on availability of funds.
