Ulwazi Star Awards December 2010

Ulwazi Holdings Group has embarked on a staff recognition and reward programme with which we aim to motivate employees in their various functions within the group.

The programme involves a process through which commitment; creativity, professionalism and innovation by staff members will be acknowledged, recognised and awarded. We have in the past received a lot of creative and innovative input from our staff members and this has contributed to the growing success of the company. Management has thus come to an agreement to formally recognise and reward these contributions, and also encourage more of such inputs and participation in the company.

The staff recognition and reward programme will be is a monthly process. Even though the initiative was decided by management, the process of implementation is managed by staff members themselves.

Staff members choose their peers according to stipulated guidelines and nominate the employee of the month from the chosen candidates. The monthly winners will then compete for the employee of the year title, who will be chosen by the Executive Chairperson and the management team. All the employees of the month from all six entities of Ulwazi Holdings Group will then compete for the employee of the year title.

The finalists will be announced, recognised and awarded at the annual Ulwazi year end function.

The monthly winners receive certificates of recognition signed by the Executive Chairperson, Ulwazi gift and a Cheque and the employee of the year will receive certificates of recognition and personalised gifts from the Executive Chairperson, presented at the year end function.
