Ulwazi Group spends Mandela Day at Tembisa Hospital

Ulwazi Group and Ulwazi Protection Services celebrated Mandela Day 2012 by ploughing its efforts back to the community in which it operates. Our selected community this year was Tembisa Hospital, and more specifically the Children’s wards in this Hospital. This is one of Ulwazi Protection Services sites. Ulwazi wanted to spread goodwill and create a “party” atmosphere, to cheer up the sick children at the hospital, and this was indeed done, by staff members walking around with bunches of helium balloons to hand out, accompanied by a clown who was making animal figures for the children. Party packs were handed out to the kids, as well as toys.

Ulwazi Staff members led by Mr. BB Mabizela (CEO), together with hospital staff, walked from ward to ward, interacting with the little ones, encouraging them on their road to recovery. Their little faces beamed when we entered the wards with the bags of toys and balloons in tow, and the Tembisa Hospital Choir sang as they went along!
